Therapy for teens and adults in-person in Memphis, TN
+ online across Tennessee
Hi, I'm Jarrod Hoffman
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider who works with teens and adults who have ongoing challenges with depression and anxiety. My goal is to help you stop feeling overwhelmed and depressed and start encouraging you to see healing and transformation.
My Story
A Little About Me
I graduated from Covenant College and worked in youth ministry before I embraced my calling to be a therapist. I've enjoyed getting to call Memphis home for the past few years, though I miss my home state of Florida.
I'm married to Katie and enjoy jiu-jitsu, playing soccer, and reading good books. I love a cup of coffee on a rainy day or a bike ride on a sunny one!
My Journey To Becoming A Therapist
I've experienced grief, anxiety, depression, addiction, job loss, purposelessness, and isolation.
My parents divorced when I was 10. I found porn at age 11. I found healing through counseling at 25. I help children, teens, and families who are dealing with challenging life circumstances, young adults looking for life direction, and those in recovery because therapy helped me.
My life experiences are what lead me to become the therapist I am today.
Helping People Gives
My Life Meaning
Being a Therapist is fulfilling
I love helping people become healthier and more empowered and watching them transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a Therapist is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about their life.
I am committed to encouraging you to see healing and transformation.
Helping You Imagine Who You Could Become
I have a natural ability to:
People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can imagine people as they could be after experiencing freedom.
Our Sessions Are Focused On You
Sessions will provide you with the space to be understood and heard. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals and be understood and heard.
It's important to me to check in on your progress as we go and focus on setting goals and working on reaching them together. There isn't a "one size fits all" approach to Therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.
As A Therapist
I Embrace The Following Philosophies
I believe that you are worthy of love and care
I believe that teens are resilient
I believe that you CAN find a fulfilling job
I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole - their mind, body, and spirit
I believe that people underestimate their ability to change. It's possible to change. It's possible to enjoy life again.
